Hansa Pilsener was announced the Top Beer Brand in South Africa at the Sunday Times Top Brand Awards

The brand was voted into the number one spot in the beer category in the Sunday Times Top Brands survey. The survey, commissioned to TNS Research Surveys, was conducted among thousands of South African consumers as well as South African business leaders from all around the country (including metro and non-metro areas).

The awards recognise the country’s most influential big and small brands, whose achievements have helped to shape the previous year in South Africa.

Hansa general manager Mosidi Seretlo says: “We are both humbled and delighted that consumers around the country have voted for Hansa. We will work hard to ensure that we continue to deliver on our promise of being refreshingly different.

Hansa, the iconic South African favourite, has been refreshing the country with its special ingredient, the Kiss of the Saaz Hop, since 1975.

Hansa has driven successful campaigns such as the Vuyo campaign which features the dynamic and much loved Vuyo, whose own special ingredient has created his success.

This year’s Hansa Legends in the Making Tour also proved to be a huge success and inspiration as it entertained South Africa’s communities.

Through these campaigns Hansa has ignited its brand in the South African market and, as a result, has scooped this year’s branding top honour.
